Plant plugs into a 41/2- to 6-inch pot or three plugs into a 7- or 8-inch pot, using a standard potting mix with a pH of 6 to 6.5.
Dahlias are in general light induced flowering crop and the more light, the more and quicker the flowers will come.
Optimum growing temperature is between 65 and 72 F during the night temperature can be slightly lower.
When fertilizing, make sure that the salt level during the growing of the plant doesn’t go up too much. An EC of lower than 1.0 is recommended to have better flowering and not stalling of the crop.
Pinching is recommended, however not necessary, for more branching after the roots have reached the bottom of the pot.
Use a normal potting soil.
For height control, cycocel or B9 can be used and ask for recommendations of your local supplier. *)
Normal insect control is essential, Dahlias can get Aphids, Leaf-miner and other insects
The cuttings are all produced form elite virus indexed material.
